Ella Mae Huffman, 92 of Moores Hill passed away Friday February 21, 2014 at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg. Ella was born Thursday, September 1, 1921 in Willisburg, Kentucky the daughter of Carl and Rosa (Armstrong) Goodlett. She married Carl J Huffman, June 21, 1941 and he preceded her in death April 4, 1998.  She worked at US Shoe in Osgood, and she was a member of the Milan Church of Christ.

Ella is survived by Daughters: Donna (Gary) Marksberry of Moores Hill; Glenda (Kevin) Thomasson of Moores Hill; Sister: Rose Carolyn Waldridge of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great- Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one Great-Great-Grandchild, one brother and one sister.

Funeral Service will be 10AM Tuesday February 25, at Milan Church of Christ 719 East Carr Street Milan, IN 47031 with Brother Matt Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Moores Hill.  Visitation will be 6-8PM February 24 at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home, Moores Hill.  Memorials may be made to Milan Church of Christ or Forest Hill Cemetery.  Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.  16717 Manchester Street Box 156 Moores Hill, IN 47032 (812)744-3280.  Go to www.sibbettmoore.com to make an on line condolence.

The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3183 is sponsoring an art contest for students in grades 9-12. The contest is a great way to earn money for college. The art must be on paper or canvas and have a patriotic theme. Digital Art is not accepted. The art must be original. Judging is based on originality, presentation, and patriotism expressed. There are monetary awards given locally and at the state level. The national winners will receive scholarships. Home schooled students are eligible, foreign exchange are not. Your entry must be signed by a teacher. You can obtain an entry form by calling Kay Pulskamp, chairperson at 934-3442. Please submit your art by March 31, 2015. The first place winner will be sent to the State Scholarships Chairman for judging. Your art will be returned to you after judging is complete.
