The cheapest gas in Versailles has dropped to $2.69 Thursday, which also marks the lowest in the state.

The two competing stations are the Marathon Gas and Kelly’s American Strong, both located on U.S. 50.

We’ll see what Friday brings between the two gas stations.

The national average is currently $3.17 per gallon.

Plummeting gas prices nationwide are the result of overseas economy, the end of summer, and well-functioning Midwest refineries, a Purdue economist told Hoosier Ag Today.
