A child endangering conviction results in jail time for Robert Palmer.

The Dillsboro man convicted of child endangering after being found unresponsive in an Ohio McDonald’s from an apparent heroin overdose will spend time behind bars.

Robert Palmer, 37, was sentenced Monday in a Hamilton County Court to 180 days, minus time served.

Palmer and Tamica Jeffers were found unresponsive at the Ohio McDonald’s while their two children were playing, police said.

Palmer is also facing legal issues in Indiana which could lead him to be transferred here following the completion of the sentence in Ohio.

Jeffers trial is still pending.
