Mrs. Delores (Scudder) Tague, age 92, of Vevay, Indiana entered into this life on July 7, 1921 near Center Square in Switzerland County. She was the daughter of Neeley Sr. & Zona (Colen) Scudder, both of whom preceded her in death. She resided all of her life near Center Square & Mt. Sterling. She was a member of the Mt. Sterling Baptist Church. She was united in marriage on December 5, 1937 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to James Tague & to this union arrived two sons & one daughter to bless their home. She worked in the Tague Variety Store in Vevay, from 1959 to 1969. She also worked at Swiss Miss Dress Shop in Vevay, for 20 years. She was a devoted, loving mother & wife, helping Jimmy on the farm. In her spare time, she enjoyed her grandkids, flowers & gardening. Delores passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 10:20 a.m. at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.
Mrs. Tague will be missed by her daughter: Jeanie Scudder & her husband: Eugene of Florence, IN; her grandchildren: Melissa, Chad, Jason, Suzanne, Bryan, Mark & Tiffany; her daughter-in-laws: Beverly & Debbie; her great-grandchildren: Joshua, Madeline Grace, Corbin, Taylor, Trevor, Daniel, Audrey, Alex, Tina, Scott, Dustin, Alyia, Kayman & Kaylia; several nieces, nephews & other relatives; her good friend: Joy Driver & her husband: James of Americus, GA.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents: Neeley & Zona (Colen) Scudder; her husband: James Tague; her sons: Donald Tague & Paul Tague; her granddaughter: Paula Jean Tague; her sisters: Maxine Weaver, Helen Wise, Frances Scudder, Leo Dunning & Muriel Sigmon & Lorraine Weber; her brothers: Neeley Scudder, Jr. & Wilbur “Bud” Scudder.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 11:00 am, by Rev. Ron Lee, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
