Participating CountryMark fueling stations hosted Fueling Freedom events in Indiana and Ohio last month.

The company initiated the Fueling Freedom fundraiser six years ago as a way to support Indiana military families.

During the events, CountryMark-branded dealers donated to local National Guard Family Readiness Programs 50 cents for every gallon of fuel pumped and $1 for every gallon of lubricants sold.

A total of 33 CountryMark stations took part including those in Greensburg, Osgood, Liberty, Rushville and North Vernon.

According to the Greensburg Daily News, Fueling Freedom 2014 raised a total of $48,000 for troops and their families.

“Fueling Freedom is one of CountryMark’s favorite events of the year,” said CountryMark Vice President of Marketing Jon Lantz in a news release. “This is our opportunity to support our local National Guard troops. We are grateful for all they do to protect our country. It feels good to be able to help them and their families.”
