The session will feature a representative from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and is open to the public.
Employers are increasingly using the internet to gather information about job applicants from social media sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn. During the session, the EEOC representative will highlights the risks incurred, what is legally permissible in the search process, as well as offer recommendations for employers when “googling” information about potential employees.
It will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Southeastern Indiana Independent Living Center on Adams Street in Versailles.
