A local businessman has been recently recognized for his contributions to Franklin County. Bill Schirmer was named as “Citizen of the Year for 2013.”
According to the Franklin County Observer, the award was presented by the Franklin County Commissioners who highlighted his endeavors. Schirmer, who owns Tom’s Sales and Service in Brookville, also serves on the EMS board of directors, leads the Economic Development Commission and is the Chamber of Commerce president.
He is also responsible for organizing summit meetings of major organizations in Franklin County, the Observer reported.
