Clara A. Hankins, 91 of Dillsboro passed away on Friday morning, July 15, at her residence. Clara was born Tuesday August 19, 1924 in Ripley County the daughter of Albert and Grace (Hehe) Frakes. She married Dale Hankins March 19, 1949 and he preceded her in death June 14, 2015. Clara was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, farming, cooking, canning, flowers embroidering, and her family time.
Clara is survived by children Randy Hankins of Holton, Jim (Bev) Hankins of Elrod, Cindy (Brian) Stemann of Dillsboro and Karen (Rod) Elswick of Madison, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandchildren Sharon and Dale Ehlers, her parents and her husband, Dale.
Funeral services for Clara will be at 12 Noon on Monday July 18, 2016 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan with Pastor Ty Choate officiating. Burial will follow in Green Cemetery near Elrod.
