Citizens Thanked For Salvation Army Contributions

The Salvation Army of Ripley County is thanking those that were generous and spared a few dollars over the holiday season.

Through donations during the Holiday Red Kettle Drive, a total of $7,911 was received.

The donations raised locally stay in Ripley County to support The Salvation Army Emergency Assistants program and other programs throughout the year. The donations also support Salvation Army programs in Ripley County such as, Tools For School, that provide basic school supplies for children (K-6th) that are on the free and reduced lunch government programs.

Also, the donations support the “League of Mercy” program that provides gifts to the local Nursing Home patients for Easter and the Christmas Holiday and supports for local disasters.

The Salvation Army also thanked the local businesses, Batesville Kiwanis and Rotary Club, organizations, individual Bell Ringers and to the Sisters of Saint Francis for their support in this year’s Red Kettle Campaign.
