Cindy Miller, 58 of Milan passed away Friday February 14, 2014 at her residence. Cindy was born Saturday February 4, 1956 in Gas City, Indiana the daughter of Charles Dean and Ida Mae (Sikkema) Jones.  She married Glen F. Miller December 31, 1981 and he survives.  Other survivors include sons Matthew Miller of Decatur, Alan Miller of Muncie, daughter Rachel Miller of Newburgh, brother Steve Jones of Indianapolis, sisters Deana Bowlds and Toni Keevil both of Indianapolis, Terri Barker and Debbie Dresselhaus both of Holton, and Jenni Raake of Cincinnati.  She was preceded in death by a sister Sharon Gilliland. 

 Cindy graduated from Marion High School in 1974 and Cincinnati Technical College receiving her RN degree.  She had worked at the North Vernon Nursing Home, Waters at Dillsboro, Silver Bell, and the ICU Dept. at Winona Hospital in Indianapolis.  She recently had worked for Advantage Home Health Care.  She loved rocks and fossils, her animals, and family time. 

Services for Cindy will be Saturday February 22, 2014, 3PM at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan.  Visitation will also be Saturday 1-3PM at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to Dearborn County Hospice.  Go to www.lawscarrmoore.com to make on line condolences.   Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. St. Louis Catholic Church is having their Mock Turtle Soup Sale! Monday, September 15- noon-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 16- 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 17-Friday, September 19- 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Sunday, September 21- during the annual St. Louis Church Festival, theMock Turtle Soup will be available for sale until it’s gone. Please enter through the Activity Center doors only! The soup will also be available through the week at Schmidt’s Bakery during their normal business hours. If you have any empty quart, half-gallon, or gallon jars you can spare (or canning lids and/or rings), you can bring them to the SLS Activity Center or Schmidt’s Bakery, as jars and lids are still needed to bottle the soup throughout the week.
