Chris Mullin is in Batesville today and will be speaking at The Sherman House tonight. Chris spent 16 seasons in the NBA, and he was on two Olympic Gold Medalist basketball teams. One of these teams was the 1992 “Dream Team”. This team was made up of the so-called best players in the world at that time including Larry Bird and Michael Jordan. Chris was a 3-time Big East player of the year and he is in several basketball Hall of Fames. The St. John alum spent most of his pro career playing for the Golden State Warriors, but he also spent time with the Indiana Pacers in his 16-season NBA career.
Chris now is a motivational speaker and he is representing MAX International. Like many pro athletes Chris’ body now shows the wear and tear of those many rigorous years of professional sports. His speech will center around how new advances in health care can help your body recover so you can have a better quality of life. This is an interesting field that is championed by many but also questioned by some as to the effectiveness of this type of health care. It should be an interesting evening. Attend if you can, and you can judge for yourself its merit. You can bet Chris would not endorse anything that he does not firmly believe in himself.
