The St. Louis 8th grade basketball team lost to South Ripley Thursday night by the score 39-23.

The Cardinals got off to a good start defensively and trailed by just 6 points at halftime (18-12).  But, South Ripley’s aggressiveness and skill level was too much for the short-handed Cardinals.

Kyle Siefert led the team with 11 points (4-6 from the free throw line).  Chandler Meyers dominated the inside early and finished with 10 points.  Will Harmeyer had the only other basket.

The Cardinals return to action Friday, December 27 as they host the St. Louis/Batesville Cross-Town Classic Invitational.
