The Saint Louis 6th grade boys basketball team was back on the road against Laurel Tuesday evening November 17th. It was a tough, gritty hard fought game from the opening tip until the final buzzer. But, when the dust settled the Cardinals were on top 33-29.

It was an effort to find the bottom of the basket. Joseph Suttman, CJ Grote, Cody Mohr and Thomas Raver were able to put up the points with Raver leading all scorers followed by Mohr. CJ Grote hit a big contested basket late in the game to give the
Cardinals a 4 point lead. The defensive load was heaped onto the shoulders of Adam Vogelsang and Hunter Laudick and they put forth a great effort against Laurel’s two really good ball handlers and scorers.

The boys responded well to the adversity and did all the work necessary to
survive. Defense, rebounding, getting to the free throw line and hitting
their foul shots were the fundamentals the boys responded with to come away
with the victory.
