In the championship game the Cardinals went up against the Mount Carmel Vikings.  It turned out to be a very physical game from the opening tip with Mount Carmel getting on the board first as Robby Parson hit a mid-range jumper from baseline.  However, St. Louis was able to answer as they got a couple of three point buckets from Oesterling to give the Cardinals the lead at the end of the quarter 18-11.   St. Louis played tough defense in the 2nd quarter and went into the half up 28-16.    Both teams played even in the 3rd quarter and in the fourth St. Louis got some big buckets underneath by Voegele which helped the Cardinals seal the victory and also the championship by the score of 48-33.   Parsons led the Vikings with 20 points with Garret Ertel and Joe Fields adding 8 and 5 points respectfully.

This week the Cardinals are on the road for two games with Milan on Monday and Sunman Dearborn on Thursday.
