Callie Billingsley, 100 of Aurora passed away peacefully Thursday July 21, 2016 at Ripley Crossing at Milan. Callie was born Tuesday June 13, 1916 in Owsley County, Kentucky the daughter of George Green and Addie Ruth (Hutcheson) Gabbard. She married her husband of 55 years Robert Lee Billingsley August 28, 1935 and he preceded her in death August 30, 1989. She attended Holman Christian Union Church and retired from Hill Rom in 1981. Callie enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards camping, and the family and family gatherings.
Callie is survived by daughters Phyllis J. Siekerman and Carol (Ed) Russell both of Manchester, 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 29 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, sons James and Robert (Sonny) Billingsley and daughter Jo Ann Billingsley Young.
Funeral services will be 11AM Tuesday July 26 at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8PM Monday July 25 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family.
