National Collection week for Operation Christmas Child
Nov 18 – Nov 25 all-day

Greensburg has a drop off location for the first time at the First Baptist Church. Operation Christmas Child is a collection of items in a shoebox wrapped in Christmas paper labeled for boy or girl. There are three age groups 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Items to place in the shoebox include a toy to embrace; school supplies, hygiene items, or other items possible are t-shirts, socks, sunglasses, hair ribbons. Please do not send liquid, chocolate, glass, medications or vitamins. Also items to avoid are those with war-related themes such as toy guns, military figures or knives.
Elizabeth Wullenweber of Carousel Play and Learn is fronting the effort locally. Carousel play and learn will have a box for donations for those who do not wish to fill a box but would like to contribute to the collection. If you have questions or would like for more information on how to contribute to Operation Christmas Child; you can call
Elizabeth at 812-560-7171. Operationchristmaschild.org is the website where you can find the label and detailed descriptions of the items to send.
