Bulldogs, Wildcats, and Pirates Win Tennis Sectionals

TennisCongrats to The Batesville Bulldogs, The Franklin County Wildcats, and The Greensburg Pirtaes on winning their respective Boys Tennis Sectional Crowns.

The Batesville Boys Tennis team defeated Oldenburg Academy 5-0 to win their 5th straight sectional title on Saturday.

#1 Singles- Beau Brown (B) def. Greg Schroeder (OA) 6-2, 6-0
#2 Singles- Blake Walsman (B) def. Nathan Hubert (OA) 6-0, 6-0
#3 Singles- Ben Schwettman (B) def. Chase Hogg (OA) 6-2, 6-0
#1 Doubles- Matthew Taylor and Spencer Rose (B) def. Tyler Hogg and Ian Dickey (OA) 6-1, 6-0
#2 Doubles- Harsh Patel and Paul Ritter (B) def. Clay Hunger and Jacob Preston (OA) 6-2, 6-1

Batesville is now 17-4 on the season and will play in the Richmond Regional sagainst New Castle at 4:30 PM on Tuesday. If Batesville wins, they will play the winner of Richmond/Franklin Co. on Wednesday.

Franklin County were 4-1 winners over Rushville at Connersville.

Greensburg defeated Jennings County 4-1 at Jennings County.

The Wildcats will also be at Richmond taking on the host Red Devils.  Match time for both starts at 4:30 PM.

The Pirates will be at The Bloomington South Regionals to go up against The Scottsburg Warriors starting at 5 PM.  The other Regional game features Columbus North vs. Bloomington North.
