The Batesville Boy’s Varsity tennis team defeated East Central 4-1 to win their sixth straight sectional championship.
#1 Singles- Beau Brown was defeated by Jason Bosse 2-6, 1-6
#2 Singles- Ben Schwettman defeated Matt Kuebel 6-0, 6-2
#3 Singles- Spencer Rose defeated Braeden Wittich 6-0, 6-3
#1 Doubles- Harsh Patel and Paul Ritter defeated Clark Maxwell and Bryce Stonefield 6-0, 6-0
#2 Doubles- Will Harmeyer and Jonathan Kunkel defeated Chase Sizemore and Jared Volpenhein 6-2, 6-1
Batesville is 15-6 on the season and will play against Richmond in the Regional at Richmond on Tuesday starting at 4:30.
The Franklin County Wildcats captured The Connersville Sectional crown with a 5-0 win over the host Spartans and will battle The New Castle Trojans at The Richmond Regionals.
The Greensburg Pirates were the Jennings County Sectional champs with a 4-1 win over the host Panthers and will square off against the host Panthers at The Bloomington North Regionals on Tuesday.
