Bulldogs Track Team Victorious Over Wildcats

Track & FieldEven though it was cloudy and there was a chill in the night, fans that came to watch the Bulldogs vs Wildcat track meet should not have left disappointed.

There were many events decided by tenths to even hundredths of a second. Although the Wildcats gave some great performances in several events, the Bulldogs answered right back in others. The boys 100m dash and the 4 x 100m relay were decided by .03 and .04 of a second respectively. Gray from Franklin County just out leaned Tanner Ayette from Batesville in the 100m dash, then in the 4 x 100m relay it was Ayette to get Gray. Two very close and exciting races. In fact, the 100m dash top 5 times were 11.15, 11.18, 11.19, 11.20, 11.21. The same held true for the boys 200m dash with the top 3 time at 23.22, 23.31 and 23.43 all held by the Batesville Bulldogs.

Although the Wildcats had some great talent they could not surpass the depth of the Bulldogs. The boys took home the blue ribbons in 12 of the 16 events with a sweep (1st-3rd) in both the 1600m run and 200m dash. Score was BHS-92 FC-40. The girls brought home the blue in all but one event and swept 5-100m dash, 1600m run, 800m run, 200m dash and 3200m run. Final score was BHS-107 FC-25.
