The Batesville Boys’ Varsity Tennis Team defeated New Castle 4-1 in the first round of the regional on Wednesday at Richmond High School.
#1 Singles- Beau Brown defeated Dusty Vincent 6-1, 6-1
#2 Singles- Blake Walsman defeated David Bennett 6-7(6), 6-3, 6-1
#3 Singles- Ben Schwettman was defeated by Cayden Smckens 4-6, 7-6(4), 4-6
#1 Doubles- Matthew Taylor and Spencer Rose defeated Cobey Isenbarger and Josiah Sledd 6-1, 6-0
#2 Doubles- Paul Ritter and Harsh Patel defeated Caleb Matthews and Mason Warren 6-0, 6-1
Batesville is now 18-4 on the season and will play Richmond in the Regional Fianls on Thursday at Richmond at 4:30 PM.
