Bulldogs Shine Bright On The Diamond Against RS

BaseballEarly lead gives the Bulldogs victory over Rising Sun, 10-3

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead on Rising Sun and captured a 10-3 victory on Monday.

The game was decided quickly as the Bulldogs exerted their will early with six runs in the first three innings.

An RBI double by Connor Schuck and a walk by Jacob Christie in the first inning and an RBI single by Schuck, an RBI single byJacob Vogelsang, and a two-run double by Jacob Christie during the second inning helped the Bulldogs put some runs on the board early.

Schuck racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Bulldogs.

Jacob Wilson got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Kurtis Armstrong was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked six and struck out one.

The Bulldogs added four more runs in the top of the fifth. A clutch sacrifice fly scored Alex Roell to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up with a steal of home by Wyatt Schebler.
