The Batesville Middle School Golf team ventured to Columbus on a gorgeous Thursday evening to play the Rocky Ford Par 3 course.
The Bulldogs fielded a largely inexperienced team with 6 sixth graders. The Lady Bulldogs squad were led by seventh grader Sarah Ronnebaum and sixth grader Kacy Harsh with 46’s. Sixth graders Shalee Harrington and Paige Stirn were close behind with a 47 and 51 respectively. The girls fell to Columbus with team scores of 190 – 158.
The Bulldog boys golf team also fell to Columbus 172 – 129. The boys were led by sixth grader Drew Wagner with a team low of 40. Sixth graders Dean Campbell and Chase Cummings both brought in 43’s while eighth grader Mason Beck rounded out the pack with a 46.
The Bulldogs will host South Decatur and St. Louis at Hillcrest on Monday.
