Bulldogs Loses A Tough Tennis Battle With Olympians

TennisThe Batesville High School varsity tennis team was defeated 3-2 by Columbus East.

The Lady Bulldogs posted victories at each doubles position.

Kelli Hartman and Brooke Bradford teamed up at No. 1 doubles to beat Susana Blanco and Pooja Pandita 3-6, 6-3 and 6-3.

Macy Simon and Karsen Worthington were 6-4 and 6-4 winners over Lauren Fox and Shyanne Reynolds at No. 2 doubles.

The Lady Olympians swept the three singles positions.

Ashlee Hasson defeated Sarah Hoseus in straight sets at No. 1 singles as did Megan Galle at No. 2 over Lydia Olsen. Alexa Hussman defeated Allyson Ritter 6-4 and 6-0 at No. 3.

The Batesville junior varsity recorded a 5-0 victory over East.

Erin Longstreth, Jenna Harmeyer and Alana Pinckley were all winners in singles play. Gabby Cooper teamed up with Julia Hunter to win at No. 1 doubles, while Grace Heppner and Anna Kick triumphed at No. 2.
