Bulldogs Fall To Trojans In SEI Finals

Basketball HoopsThe 7th grade Bulldogs ended their season losing to Sunman Dearborn 46 – 30 in the championship game of the SEI Tourney.

Seth Gausman led the scoring with 9 points. Also scoring for Batesville were Colt Meyer with 8, Dempsy Bohman 6, Brayden Linkel 3 and Alex Smith and Jake Cruse with 2 points apiece.

The Bulldogs finished the season with a 13 – 4 record.

The Bulldogs 8th grade lost a nail-bitter of a game in the championship of the SEI tourney against Sunman Dearborn. The game went into overtime and the Dogs came out on the short end losing 35-32. Both teams played great with outstanding effort.

BMS led after the 1st Q. 9-6 but were down by two at the half 17-15. After the 3rd Q. Batesville was still down by 1 point but were able to send the game into overtime with a 28-28 score.

For BMS, Cooper Williams had 8 points and several key rebounds and critical shots, Trey Heidlage with 8 points and did a great job running the point while guarding the other team’s best player. Austin Siefert and Sam Haskamp had 6 points each. Tyler Meyers had 4 points and played with good defense and rebounding.

The Dogs finished with a 12-5 record.
