Bulldogs Fall To Bengals In Hoops Action

basketballThe Batesville Middle School 7th grade boys lost a close game at Greendale on Thursday night. The Bulldogs were defeated by the Bengals by a final score of 41-34.

After trailing by 10 at the end of the 3rd quarter and getting down as much as 13 in the 4th quarter, Batesville was able to cut Greendale’s lead to just five points with about 2 minutes to go. However, in the end, the Bulldogs were never able to go in front and suffered a 7 point defeat.

Batesville was led by RJ Powell with 10 points, Calvin Sherwood with 9, Ethan Brewer with 6, Bristol Davies and Pros Moorman with 3 each, Austin Cornn with 2 and Mason Barker with 1.

The 7th grade’s record now falls to 3 wins and 4 losses on the year. Batesville will be back in action on Monday night when they take on the rival St. Louis Cardinals.
