The Batesville Wrestling team traveled to Lawrenceburg to participate in the EIAC wrestling tournament. The day belonged to the Franklin County Wildcats being named EIAC Champs.
Team Scores: Franklin County – 248.5; South Dearborn – 215; East Central – 190; Lawrenceburg – 186; Greensburg – 167; Connersville – 153.5; Batesville – 53; and Rushville – 17.
The Bulldogs sent just 6 wrestlers to the tournament to compete and they came away with valuable experience to get ready for the upcoming Sectional. Jackson Wooldridge competed in the 126# class finishing the day in 6th place and a 1-3 record. Michael Deal competed in the 132# class finishing the day in 2nd place with a 2-1 record. John Moody competed in the 138# class finishing the day in 4th place and a 2-2 record. Chris Schene competed in the 145# class finishing the day with a 0-2 record. Abram Garcia competed in the 160# class finishing the day in 6th place and a 1-3 record. Mitchell Thomas competed in the 220# class finishing the day in 5th place and a 2-2 record.
