Bulldogs Cross Country Teams Ripley County Champs

Cross CountryThe Boy’s Batesville Cross Country team traveled to South Ripley High School Thursday night to defend their county trophy against Milan, Jac-Cen-Del and South Ripley.

The boys came away victorious while scoring 19 points. Jac-Cen-Del was second with 49 followed by South Ripley with 67 and Milan 111.

Leading the way for Batesville was Caleb Moster, who was also 1st overall with a time of 17:43. Coming in 2nd for Batesville, and also second overall was Connor Bell. He also set a new personal record with a time of 17:55. Coming in 3rd for Batesville and, again, third overall, was Cole Nuhring with a time of 18:05.

Also scoring for Batesville as their 4th runner and 5th overall was Chris Riffle who also set a personal record with his time of 18:46. Rounding out Batesville’s scoring runners was Clay Yeaton, who was 8th overall with a time of 19:14. Also running for Batesville was Garrett Yorn who came in 9th overall with a time of 19:20. Calvin Lehman who came in at 19:58 for the 11th overall spot followed him. Elliot Main came in behind him with a time of 20:34 earning him the 14th spot. Finally, Batesville had Jackson Wooldridge with his 18th overall spot and a new personal record of 20:50.

Batesville’s boys also earned 6 of the 10 all county spots. Caleb Moster, Connor Bell, Cole Nuhring, Chris Riffle, Clay Yeaton, and Garrett Yorn earned these. These boys are starting to see all of the miles and hard work pay off as they keep improving their times and setting new personal records.
