Bulldogs Boys Cross Country Team Place 2nd In EIAC

Cross CountryThe Batesville High School Boys Cross Country team traveled to East Central Tuesday night to compete in the EIAC championship. The boys fell just short of the championship win, falling to South Dearborn by 8 points. Batesville’s 45 points were good enough for a second place finish and they were followed by Connersville in third place with 81 points.

One highlight for Batesville was Conner Bellís time of 17:24, which made him the individual conference champion. Also  running varsity and scoring for Batesville were Caleb Moster who was 3rd overall, Cole Nuhring, 7th overall, Chris Riffle, 14th overall, and Garrett Yorn, 20th overall. Also running varsity were Calvin Lehman who came in 35th overall and Clay Yeaton, who came in 38th overall.

In the reserve race, Elliot Main and Jackson Wooldridge came in 3rd and 7th respectively.

The Bulldogs will travel to South Dearborn on Saturday to run for the sectional championship.
