The Batesville High School wrestling team traveled to face off against the Madison Cubs for their seventh match of the year.
The Bulldogs were able to split with the Cubs winning three matches and falling in three matches. Winning matches by pin for Batesville were: Michael Deal, John Moody, and Xavier King. Chris Schene, Abram Garcia, and Mitchell Thomas all wrestled well but came up short losing by fall against their Madison opponents.
There were two JV matches on the night that faced off Jon Vincent and Miguel Ramirez against their Madison opponent. Vincent was able to finish his match in the second period by pin while Ramirez fell short losing by fall.
After giving up 36 team points due to forfeits, the final team score was Madison 54 and Batesvlle 18.
