Bobby Ray “Red” Johnson, age 70

Bobby Ray “Red” Johnson, age 70, of Connersville, Indiana and formerly of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at BethesdaNorthHospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born April 10, 1943 in Franklin County, Indiana he was the son of the late Frank Johnson and Lucy (Hacker) Gulley.  He lived most of his life in Franklin County, Indiana.  On June 15, 1963 he and the former Janice Sue Derenski were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2007.

Red was self employed, and did stone masonry work for many years.  He had attended the BloomingGroveFamilyWorshipChurch in Blooming Grove, Indiana.

Survivors include one daughter & son-in-law, Kim & Mike Mullins of Brookville, Indiana; two grandchildren Megan & Heath; as well as a half-sister, Deborah Parks of Richmond, Indiana.

Besides his parents & wife, Janice, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Johnson.

Rev. Tom Marshall will officiate the Funeral Services on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, 10:30 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville.

Family & friends may visit from 4 till 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

The Hogan Creek Watershed Project, along with the Dearborn and Ripley County Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) will be providing an educational opportunity for producers with grazing livestock.  The field day will be held on Friday, August 22nd at Jeff and Leah Meinders’s Farm, 3687 W. Co.
