The Batesville High School Wresting team used their annual BHS Invitational to raise food items for the local food pantry. Saturday, all schools participating brought non-perishable items for a whole separate competition than what was happening on the wrestling mat.
The winner was determined by the most weight donated. Batesville won the donation award while Brown County won the wrestling tournament; however, the real winners are all who participated by donating. All schools donated their items to our own Batesville organization and 1,220 pounds of food was delivered Saturday night.
