GarrisonBetty L. Garrison, 83, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born Wednesday, June 25, 1930 in Aurora, Indiana, Daughter of the late Lisle Ross and the late Iva Schott Ross.

Betty worked as a school teacher for Three Rivers  School District and the Southwest Harrison School District. Teaching was her passion.  She was a Lifetime member of the Aurora First Presbyterian Church and an Eastern Star Member.  She enjoyed cross word puzzles, playing Bridge and in her early years she loved to dance and play sports.  Her family was her greatest joy.

Surviving are children, Jay (Melissa) Garrison of Harrison, OH, Jill Ann Fisher of Milford, OH;  Grandchildren, Jason Ryan Garrison, Dr. Amanda Garrison, Adam  Lisle Fisher, Cpl. Allyson Fisher,Staff Sgt. Shawn  Richter; Great-Grandchild, Steven Brock Garrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason Garrison.

Friends will be received 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Thursday at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.

There will be a free cookout that begins at 6:00 p.m. and will continue until 8:00 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Fire Department. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.  Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, and cookouts.
