Batesville Middle School Wrestling

WrestlingBatesville Middle School Wrestlers traveled to Madison Junior High last evening to grapple through sixteen varsity and seven junior varsity matches. With nearly full rosters provided by both teams, the evening was full of excitement.

The Bulldogs wrestled with intensity and made great progress as they worked their way through the event, yet falling short 66-28 to Madison.

Grapplers that prevailed in their matches included, Nathaniel Robinson with a 13-2 decision, JT Linkel by forfeit, Axel Garcia with a 1:59 pin, Noah Hewitt pinning in 3:12, and Abram Garcia with a 1:10 pin. Additional wrestlers seeing varsity matches, yet fell to their opponent included; Logan Vierling, Andy Gutzwiller, Caleb Bischoff-Niese, Jacob Weigel, Dylan Holcomb, Cole Struewing, Chris Lainez, Troy Hornberger, and Mitchell Thomas.

The evening ended with junior varsity action, where the bulldogs saw a wins from Abe Peetz, Logan Vierling Mitchell Thomas and JT Linkel. Putting up competitive matches, yet defeated included, Jonathan Hoff, Ethan Meyer, and Brendon Imel.

The Bulldogs will continue their busy week as they travel Thursday evening to face the Fighting Knights from South Dearborn for a 5:30 match.
