The Batesville 7th Grade basketball team held off a feisty Brookville team 50-33.
After being only up 2 after 3 quarters, the Bulldogs ralled with a monstrous 17-2 run in the 4th quarter to beat the Greyhounds.
Trey Heidlage led all scorers with 15 points, but Lane Oesterling and Luke Belter both added 8. Cooper Williams also added 7 points. Heidlage had an all around game with 6 assists, 4 steals, 5 rebounds and 5 deflections. Lane Oesterling also led the defensive chart with 4 steals. Luke Belter led the team with 6 rebounds. Sam Haskamp also had a great defensive effort with 5 rebounds and 3 deflections.
The 7th graders will be in action again next Monday night when they travel to Connersville at 6pm.

1Q. – 16-6 Brookville. 2Q. – 24-16 Brookville. 3Q. – 33-29 Brookville.
Leading scorers for BMS were Isaac Barker – 18 points, Luke Schroeder – 8 points, Tristian Lamppert with 5 point.
The taller, more physical Greyhounds controlled the rebounding. They also had (4) three pointers.
Brookville was led by Brennan Meyers with 18, Dylan Little with 10, and Brandon Grubb with 8.
