Batesville community traveling to Haiti

BATESVILLE, Ind. — 16 people from the Batesville community will be traveling to a village in Haiti to build homes for two different families.

The 16 individuals have been busy raising the money needed for the trip and for building supplies.

In all, the group has raised over $58,000.

There will be two different teams making the trip.

The first team will be in Haiti from March 25 – 31, while the second team will be there April 1 – 7.

A Benefit concert with Mitch McVicker will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 6:30 PM at the Batesville Christian Church to help raise the rest of the money needed for the trips.

The team going to Haiti March 25 – 31 consists of Ashley Daulton, Lori Daulton, Mike Daulton, Drake Main, Elliot Main, Kip Main, Matthew Meehan, Tyler Ralston, Cooper Williams and MarDell Williams.

The team going April 1 – 7 includes Gary Brower, Darren Cole, Laura Cole, Greg Fulkerson, John LaJeunesse and John Small.
