Batesville Boys JV Spilt Weekend Games

basketballBatesville split a pair of road games this weekend to Lawrenceburg and Plainfield.

The JV team defeated Lawrenceburg 41-31. The lead was as high as 19 before the Tigers made a comeback in the 4th quarter. A 13-0 2nd quarter led the way for the Bulldogs for the win. Offensively, the Bulldogs recorded 10 assists on 15 of their field goal attempts with Sam Haskamp leading the way with 3 and John Harmeyer with 2. Austin Siefert led the team with 12 points on 4 three-pointers. Jayden Beal recorded 7 while Sam Haskamp added 6.

Defensively, Luke Schroeder led the team with 10 rebounds while John Harmeyer added 7. Both guys recorded 3 offensive rebounds. Siefert, Schroeder, and Harmeyer led the team with 2 steals a piece while Lane Westerfeld recorded 3 deflections and a great job shutting down Lawrenceburg’s leading scorer.

The Bulldogs traveled to Plainfield on Saturday night and were defeated by a very good Plainfield team 64-35. Trey Heidlage led the team with 11 points while Luke Schroeder and Sam Haskamp both chipped in with 6. Austin Siefert led the team with 3 assists while Heidlage added 2. Siefert and Haskamp led the team with 4 rebounds including 3 offensive rebounds by Haskamp. Jayden Beal led with 2 steals.

Batesville JV is now 2-2 on the year and will play at home vs Northeastern on Thursday night while traveling to East Central on Saturday.
