Batesville And Harrison Baseball Teams Split Games

BaseballGreat day for baseball as Batesville Varsity splits with Harrison in a double header Saturday, April 19th.

Game 1-Harrison 6, Batesville 3

Wes McKinney on the mound for the dogs throwing 5 1/3 innings – 2 earned runs, 4 walks, and 1 strike out.  Tyler Folkman came in and pitched 1 2/3 of an inning and lets no runs score.  Errors were costly in this game as the Wildcats only had 2 earned runs out of their 6 runs scored.

Game 2-Batesville 2, Harrison 1

Ben Wilson has a phenomenal day on the mound throwing 53 pitches in 6 full innings. He also gave up only 1 run on 5 hits.  Bryan Hoeing shuts the door on the Cats in the top of the 7th with 2 strikeouts and gets a ground ball to 2nd Base to end the game.  Solid Defense (whole team) and 2 sack fly’s by Wes McKinney at the plate helped the dogs in the win!

Next Game: Batesville plays Connersville at Liberty Park Monday April 21st at 6:30pm

                Austin Prickel pitched 3 excellent innings of relief for the win

Game 2.  Harrison – 9   Batesville – 7

 

 

Pitching – Alex Roll, Luke Forbeck and Kohlson Voss all pitched well
