Anderson U. Softball

I just recently learned that two BHS alums are leading the Anderson University Ravens into the college World Series of Softball. Devon Moorman and Amy Wuestefeld are the two young ladies. They are both seniors at Anderson and have starred on the team for four years. Devon has won several pitching honors for the Heartland Conference. Amy leads the Ravens in almost every offensive category and was the MVP of the team. These young ladies, along with Amy’s sister Ashley, have done a great job representing Batesville at Anderson. The Wuestefeld twins were quite active while at BHS and still have some records at the school. Devon was one of the top pitchers to ever throw for the Bulldogs. I think both Devon and Amy have used up their eligibility. Both of the Wuestefeld girls also played basketball at Anderson. It is always great when local athletes make names for themselves in college and beyond. I am sure that all three of these young ladies have done quite well in the classroom, too. Congratulations to all three of them on fine college careers!
