Allen John Huber

Allen Huber

Allen John Huber, of Sunman, was born on January 11, 1931 in Lawrenceville, a son to Estal and Ida Boerstler Huber.  After graduating from Sunman High school, he served his country as part of the United States Army.  Allen married Ruth Gutapfel on August 16, 1958 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hubbells Corner, and she survives.  He was a dairy farmer and electrician, could fix anything that needed it, and considered it somewhat of a defeat if he had to call someone else to do the work.  Allen was a long time member of St. John Lutheran Church at Hubbells.  On Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the age of 85, he passed away at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville.

Those surviving who will cherish Allen’s memory include his wife, Ruth; children, Douglas (Bernie) Huber of Arcadia, IN, Brenda (Patrick) Heinzman of Cicero, IN, and Daryl (Paige) Huber of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Katie (Brad) Burke, Rachel Huber, Sarah Huber, Jordan Gerbsch, Jessica Gerbsch, Wilson Huber, and Grace Huber; great grandchild, Aubrey Burke; sister, Shirley Huneke of Batesville, and brother, Vernon (Betty Jo) Huber of Sunman.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Ann Roepke, Dorothy Baker Eaton, and Loraine Galle.
