The scene of the accident was cleared and U.S. 52 south of Brookville reopened around 5:50 p.m.
Dispatchers say six people were involved in the two-car crash.
Three medical helicopters were dispatched to the area.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. — Authorities are on the scene of a serious crash on U.S. 52 south of Brookville that occured around 4:00 p.m. Friday.
The accident has closed U.S. 52 from Brookville to State Road 1 South near Cedar Grove.
Dispatchers say three University of Cincinnati Air Care units have flown to the scene.
They were unable to confirm the number vehicles or people involved.
