Police Release Identity Of Crash Victim

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind. – Authorities released the identity of the man who died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 421 near the Jefferson Proving Ground main entrance Saturday.

21-year-old John Thomas Walker of Arkansas City, Kansas, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Walker was riding in a vehicle that crossed the centerline and struck a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck head on, police said.

Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the crash that injured six other people, including three 11-year-old’s that were airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville.
