Collection:  A group of 10 items.

Construction:  A craft item made by the exhibitor.

Zinnias:  9 small zinnias in a pint jar.

Farm Bureau Flower Show

3:00 entries

5:00 – 6:00 judging

The flower show is open to all who are interested in gardening and flowers, except for professional flower growers.  Flowers must have been grown by exhibitor but can come from any source.  Potted plants must have been in the possession of the exhibitor for 3 months prior to showing.  An exhibitor may have only one entry per class.  Containers and accessories are entered at owner’s risk and should be marked with owner’s name.  Decision of the judge will be final.  (NO SILK or ARTIFICAL FLOWERS)

Prizes: 1st place $3.00, 2nd place $2.00, 3rd place $1.00 Flower Judge will give an oral critique of each arrangement or specimen.  Everyone is welcome to attend and listen to the judge.

Section I – Garden Flowers

Class 1 – Arrangement of any suitable garden flowers

Class 2 – All one color arrangement of garden flowers

Section II – Wild Flowers

Arrangements in a suitable vase, bowl, or basket

Section III – Single Blooms

One Specimen, container should be a plastic pop or water bottle

Class 1 – Rose

Class 2 – Gladiolus

Class 3 – Dahlia

Class 4 – Zinnia

Class 5 – Marigold

Class 6 – Other

Section IV – House Plant

No plant larger than 12”

Class 1 – Foliage

Class 2 – Flowering Plant

Class 3 – African Violets

Class 4 – Other

Section V – Miniature Arrangement

Arrangement including container, may not exceed 4” in height or width.
