The following year he was married to the former Ann Smith. The family then moved to Hopkins, Minnesota, Seattle, and when hired by Batesville Casket Company moved to Greensburg, Indiana in 1968 where he worked in different capacities in distribution management. He would later manage customer service centers in Canada, Puerto Rico, and California. He retired in 1987 and continued to live in Northern California until he later moved to southwest Missouri.  Survivors include his daughters Suzanne Meyer of Indianapolis, Lynn (Rick) Bewley of Greensburg, Lisa (Claudio) Baserga of St Maarten, California, Melissa (Jim) Westerfeld of Batesville, and Gretchen Lutes of Greensburg, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sister Bertha Starnes of Bowie, TX and brother Ed Six, Jr of East Liverpool, OH.
